Huawei started 2019 with the launch of Huawei P30. On 26th of March Huawei unveiled their P30 and P30 Pro at an event in Paris. With the launch of P30 and P30 Pro critics are saying that it’s the best competitor for Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 plus, so far this year.
Let’s talk about Huawei P30 pro, Huawei has focused on three main parameters:
The main focus is on the camera of course. If you look at the device, you will see the quad camera setup. The main camera is a 40 megapixels’ sensor F/1.6 with optical image stabilization (OIS), and it’s called “Super Spectrum Camera”. It’s called the super spectrum camera because instead of RGB (Red Green Blue) pattern ray, it has an RYB (Red Yellow Blue) Pattern ray. Its more light sensitive than the previous versions because the whole camera setup is designed so that 40% more light hit that sensor. Huawei said that it would hit four times the ISO of the last sensor up to 409600, also known as ‘’low light monster”. The second camera is 20 megapixels with F/2.2, ultra-wide, which carries a 120-degree field of view. The third one is at the side below flash, it’s the Time of Flight (TOF) lenses which is mainly for the depth information. The last but not the least is the square looking camera cut out, that is the new Telephoto camera. It is an 8-megapixel F/3.4 with OIS, and it’s called the“Periscope lens”. It’s not just the name, but also the camera goes down into the phone and uses a mirror to face out just like the actual periscope. All of that is to provide you with the lose less 5x zoom. When you combine optical stabilization and AI-enhanced stabilization, you can digitally zoom up to 50x. front facing camera is a 32-megapixel camera inside a cut top notch display.

Huawei has upgraded the display for P30 Pro, it now has full-screen6.47-inch OLED panel. It also has the in display fingerprint reader. Unlike Galaxy S10 plus, it does not have an ultrasonic in display fingerprint, instead, Huawei stuck with an optical fingerprint reader.
Specs on this device are flagship-grade. Huawei P30 Pro is rocking HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset and a Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. It also has 8GB of RAM and 4200mAh battery, which is huge. You get fast charging, fast wireless charging and 2.5 watts’ reverse charging. One thing that’s not there is a headphone jack. P30 Pro is still running EMUI 9.1 on top of the Android pie.

Let’s first compare P30 Pro with P30, at first look, you will notice that P30 has a smaller display of 6.1 inches and on the back, it only has a triple camera setup. Huawei P30 has a headphone jack, unlike P30 Pro, but it does not support wireless charging. Other than that, P30 is a budget phone with not much to lose, it is around 200 bucks cheaper than P30 Pro. In my opinion, if you want an absolute flagship, I recommend you go for Huawei P30 Pro.
